Valentine Youth Fishing Clinic Set for May 4

LINCOLN, Neb. – The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, Nebraska Walleye Association and Valentine Lions Club will conduct a youth fishing clinic on May 4 at the Valentine State Fish Hatchery. Registration is at 9:30 a.m. and the clinic starts at 10 at the hatchery northeast of Valentine. Parents are encouraged to attend with their children. Final Tally – Four Eggs

Wow!  It took a healthy dose of patience and persistence to finally ascertain a good look at the clutch and determine that it is complete at 4 eggs.   The birds seem to have been on the eggs without a break, no doubt this is partially due to the cold weather and the need to keep the eggs from getting cold.   So there you have it, if everything goes as expected, we should see hatching occur in mid-May.

Beyond BOW Archery Classes Scheduled in May

National Walk at Lunch Day to Benefit Nebraska Trails

LINCOLN, Neb. – April 24 is National Walk at Lunch Day. Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska will contribute $20 to the Nebraska Game and Parks Foundation for each organization that registers to walk.
