Red Willow SRA family fun nights

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. – Red Willow State Recreation Area (SRA) will be starting their summer Family Fun Nights on Wednesday, June 13.
The free fun nights will be held every other Wednesday, running from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. At 6 p.m. there is a family cookout at the Spring Creek tent camping area near the marina boat ramp followed by kayaking, family fishing, archery, hiking and biking at 7 p.m. Then enjoy s’mores at the campfire at Spring Creek until 10 p.m. The activities are free and all equipment is provided except bicycles. A valid Nebraska Park Entry Permit is required.

Mark your calendar for the Red Willow Family Fun Nights of June 13 and 27, July 11 and 25, and Aug. 8. Red Willow SRA is located about 11 miles north of McCook. For more information call Aric Riggins, Southwest Region Parks Supervisor at 308-345-5899.
