LINCOLN, Neb. – A Nebraska resident bull elk tag will be auctioned off at the Nebraska Big Game Society annual meeting and dinner April 25 in Lincoln. The event is from 5-9 p.m. at Wilderness Ridge, 1800 Wilderness Woods Place. Other auction items include Canadian and Alaskan fishing trips and lifetime hunt/fish permit with habitat stamp. LINCOLN, Neb. – Nebraska is one of 22 states where fishing could be a little more exciting this year. It is participating in the Cabela’s Fish for Millions contest. The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission recently tagged many fish in public waters. LINCOLN, Neb. – Beginning April 15, Nebraska hunters may enter the Nebraska Super Tag Lottery for a chance to win a four-species permit. LINCOLN, Neb. – Ponca State Park and the Missouri National Recreational River are seeking volunteers for the inaugural Mighty Mo Annual Cleanup on April 20. This is an effort to remove trash and debris from the banks and sandbars left by the 2011 flood and exposed by the drought of 2012. LINCOLN, Neb. – The Nebraska Environmental Trust has awarded $1.5 million to the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission to enroll tall wheat and milo stubble into the Crop Stubble Management, Wildlife and Water Conservation Program for three years.
