The Nebraska Tourism Commission announced this week that it approved a new brand campaign, entitled: “Nebraska Nice.” This campaign emphasizes one of Nebraska’s strongest assets — us, it’s people. However, “Nebraska Nice” has a two-fold meaning. It’s not only about we-Nebraskan’s being nice to our visitors and to each other, as we are, but it’s also a reference to the “nice moments” that make the best vacations memorable and special. It’s about that special moment that is talked about for years and years to come. Here’s a short promotional video for the new campaign.

So, with that information in mind, I’ve added a few more words to the new brand campaign for this spring. My version is, “Nebraska: Nice Spring Turkey Hunting!” What do you think?
Nebraska is a destination state for spring wild turkey hunters with birds in all 93 counties, long seasons, statewide hunting (no units), and affordable permits (especially for youth), plus there is no minimum age restriction on hunting the wild turkey. Let me tell you, not many outdoor experiences can compare with a wild turkey hunt in the spring of the year here in the Cornhusker State. I know, I spend lots of time in the field! In fact, I bagged my third and last bird for this spring season today! Take a look at this big, hefty Husker Gobbler!
Why else is spring turkey hunting nice in Nebraska? Here are some of the visual reasons.
You have a front row seat to watch nature awaken and go “green” from its winter slumber.
You have an opportunity see various flowers and blossoms emerge.
You have the opportunity to watch all kinds of wildlife from snails to whitetails.
You have the opportunity to find cool things in Nebraska’s nice woodlands.
And finally, you have the opportunity to experience the beautiful, rolling landscapes as well as the often spectacular sunrises and sunsets that Nebraska has to offer.
What are you waiting for? Come experience the nice spring turkey hunting in Nebraska! The season remains open through May 31st! Holler if we can assist you in planning that memorable spring turkey hunt.
I hope to see you out there, taking a one-handed, thumb-up selfie in your turkey hunting blind!
