New Festival Celebrating Nebraska Wine Coming to Eugene T. Mahoney SP

LINCOLN – A new wine festival is coming to Eugene T. Mahoney State Park this spring.

The inaugural Toast Wine Festival, highlighting wines from across Nebraska, will be held May 3-4. Guests may sample these wines while enjoying music, food and conversation. The weekend also will include an amateur wine-making competition, unique food pairings, art and jewelry vendors, seminars and trolley tours through the park.

Featured musicians, food vendors, artists and more will be updated on the Toast Nebraska Facebook page, as well as on Twitter at @toastnebraska.

Tickets are $25, $35 or $65; the $35 and $65 tickets include commemorative items and unlimited wine samplings.  A limited number of cabins and lodge rooms are also being held at the park for guests of the festival.  Tickets and more information is available at toastnebraska.com. Participating wineries include Glacial Till Vineyard & Winery, James Arthur Vineyards, WunderRosa Winery, Miletta Vista Winery, Rockin’ Rooster Winery, Cellar 426 Wines & Vines, Deer Springs Winery, Feather River Vineyards, Silver Hills Vineyards & Winery, Schilling Bridge Winery, Superior Estates Winery, Soaring Wings Vineyards, Whiskey Run Creek Vineyard & Winery, 17 Ranch Winery, Big Cottonwood Vineyards and Winery, Mac’s Creek Winery & Vineyards, and Prairie Creek Vineyards.

The event is hosted by the Nebraska Winery and Grape Growers Association, with assistance from the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission.
