2014 Animal Run to Benefit Wagon Train State Recreation Area

LINCOLN – The 31st annual Animal Run in Feb. 1 in Hickman will support Wagon Train State Recreation Area (SRA).
The annual fun run, sponsored by the Voice News, raises money for a different cause each year. Wagon Train SRA was damaged during a tornado last fall, and money raised will help fund rebuilding and cleanup efforts at the SRA, which is located 2 miles east of Hickman, in Lancaster County.
The event will include a 5K fun run and a 2-mile fun run/walk.  Prizes will be awarded to the top male and female top finishers in both races.
The event will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 1 in downtown Hickman. Registration is $25 before Jan. 25 and $28 afterwards, and early registrants will receive an Animal Run T-shirt, too. More information and a printable registration form are available on the Hickman Voice website.
