Fish and Wildlife Convention Week

It’s been a very busy, but enjoyable and exciting week for us at the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission. We hosted and participated in the 2013 Annual Summer Meeting for the Western Association of Fish and Wildlife Association here in Omaha. Base camp for it was the Hilton Hotel in downtown Omaha. Catfish Stocked at Lake Halleck for Family Fishing Night

Quick blog post to let you know that just yesterday at Lake Halleck in Papillion, 130  really nice 2 to 5 pound channel catfish (see pic below) were stocked from the Game and Parks Commission’s North Platte Fish Hatchery. Geothermal Ponds, The Bulldog and Yellow Perch

I was a guest angler at my Brother-In-Law Dean’s neat, new place yesterday. This isn’t just any place. This is Nebraska’s first eco-friendly, geothermal neighborhood/private ponds development area called The Bridges on the southwest edge of Lincoln, NE: http://www.thebridgesne.com/Downloads/Geothermal.pdf Pretty area!
