A Major Award

Our Fisheries Division here at the Nebraska Game & Parks Commission received some national recognition recently and I want to tell you about it.  Here is our news release: Game and Parks’ Fisheries staff was recognized by the Fisheries Administration Section (FAS) of the American Fisheries Society for incorporating fish and angler-friendly features into new reservoirs being constructed by Natural Resources Districts. Conestoga Aquatic Habitat Rehabilitation Project

We are starting a major Aquatic Habitat Rehabilitation project at Conestoga Reservoir west of Lincoln this fall.  Access to the area has been closed and the water level is starting to drop.  We are hosting an open house on Wednesday night, come out and learn about the project! Carter Lake Revisited

Burchard News

I know many Nebraska anglers have been eagerly awaiting the re-opening of Burchard Reservoir.  Here is some news, and a date on that re-opening, BUT READ CAREFULLY.  There is both good news and “bad news” in this announcement; make sure you know what it all means. Fish Habitat Enhancements at Willow Creek Reservoir

I want to show you a few pictures of some fish attractor structures that were placed at Willow Creek Reservoir this fall.  There is no need for me to describe them because the pictures show you.
