LINCOLN, Neb. – Women are invited to spend a fun, relaxing day at Platte River State Park on April 27 as part of a Beyond Becoming an Outdoors-Woman event. From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., participants age 18 and older in the Experience Platte River State Park event will spend time at the range shooting rifles, shotguns and bows, hike the park’s trails and explore Crawdad Creek. Women’s ice fishing clinic scheduled for Valentine NWR

LINCOLN, Neb. – The Beyond Becoming an Outdoors-Woman program is hosting a women’s ice fishing workshop on Jan. 13 at the Valentine National Wildlife Refuge lakes. Women age 18 and older may sign up for the workshop, which will give instruction on equipment use and techniques. Participants can lodge in Valentine on Jan. 12 or meet the group at the refuge.
