Turkey Talk with a Top Caller

Spring wild turkey hunting all about the “talk.” Really, it is about communication. You, the turkey hunter, make the sounds of a sexually appealing hen and the interested, aroused toms gobble back. Very simply, you are talking to that bird.  Now, what you are saying, how you are saying it and when you are saying it is the source of much discussion in turkey hunting circles. So, that being stated, I reached out to Douglas Herman of Wahoo, NE, a renown, …

They really are just about indestructible.  I have one that I have had since I was …

SpringBassc

I love suspending jerkbaits.  If you look in my tackle boxes you will see those baits in a variety of sizes and colors, a lot of them.  They are a very effective bait for a variety of species.  They are also a very good bait when the water is cold.  I fish them a lot in fall, right through late fall, and again in spring, early spring. If there is one thing I have learned from years of fishing, it …
