Big game meetings scheduled across Nebraska

LINCOLN – Hunters and landowners are encouraged to offer their feedback on big game issues during the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission’s public informational meetings in December.

Meetings are scheduled in each Game and Parks district. Biologists will explain and take questions on several topics, including deer management, deer damage and depredation permits, antlerless harvest, trophy management and diseases. Antelope and elk issues may be discussed at meetings located in areas where these species occur. All meetings begin at 7 p.m.

The meeting schedule is:

Dec. 20 – Alliance, Knight Museum, 908 Yellowstone Ave.

Dec. 21 – Oshkosh, Eagles Club, 201 Main St.

Jan. 9 – Curtis, Memorial Community Center, 301 Garlick Ave.

Jan. 10 – Loup City, Community Center, 803 O St.

Jan. 11 – Crofton, City Auditorium, 1210 W. 2nd St.

Jan. 12 – O’Neill, Community Building, 501 S. 4th St.

Jan. 18 – Elkhorn, Eagles Club, 20276 Wirt St.

Jan. 19 – Wilber, Sokol Auditorium, 315 S. Wilson St.
