LINCOLN, Neb. – The following is a listing of Nebraska Game and Parks Commission events and important dates in February:

Feb. 1 – Conservation Jam, Center for Great Plains Studies, 1155 Q St., Lincoln, 5:30 p.m.

Feb. 2-3 – White-fronted goose hunting season

Feb. 2-3 – Super Bowl Lodging Special, Ponca State Park (SP), 402-755-2284

Feb. 8 – Dark goose hunting season closes in Platte River, Panhandle and Niobrara units

Feb. 8 – Light goose hunting season closes

Feb. 9 – Light Goose Conservation Order hunting begins

Feb. 14-16 – Birds and Breakfast, Ponca SP, 402-755-2284

Feb. 23 – Fly Tie-In, Ak-Sar-Ben Aquarium, 9 a.m.-2 p.m., 402-332-3901

Feb. 24 – Cowboy Poetry and Music Jam, Arthur Bowring Sandhills Ranch State Historical Park, 308-684-3428

Feb. 28 – Cottontail and jackrabbit hunting seasons close

Feb. 28 – Bobcat, raccoon, Virginia opossum, long-tailed weasel, mink, red fox, gray fox and badger hunting and trapping seasons close
