Two fishing events at Lincoln’s Holmes Lake cancelled

LINCOLN, Neb. – The Community Fishing Night and Discover Catfish Fishing events scheduled for June 18 at Lincoln’s Holmes Lake have been cancelled because of the threat of thunderstorms. The fishing events, which were planned for 6-8 p.m. and 8-10 p.m., respectively, will not be rescheduled this summer. The next Community Fishing Night event at Holmes Lake will be Aug. 1. Community Fishing Night cancelled at Lincoln’s Holmes Lake

LINCOLN, Neb. – The Community Fishing Night event scheduled for Tuesday, May 28 at Lincoln’s Holmes Lake has been cancelled by the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission. Parking lots and the trail around the lake flooded after heavy rain brought the lake level up. Learn ice-fishing at two on-ice events in January

LINCOLN, Neb. – Anglers can learn the basics of ice-fishing or pick up a few new tips from experienced anglers at three free Family Ice-Fishing clinics in January. Rainbow trout stocked in three eastern Nebraska lakes

LINCOLN, Neb – Additional rainbow trout have been stocked by the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission in three eastern Nebraska lakes to enhance winter fishing opportunities. Standing Bear Lake in Omaha was stocked with 7,500 trout on Dec. 17. Holmes Lake in Lincoln and CenturyLink Lake at Eugene T.
