LINCOLN – The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission will post a notice Jan. 6 at 4 p.m. if ice conditions are deemed unsafe for an upcoming Discover Ice Fishing clinic. The clinic is scheduled for Jan. 9 at Eugene T. Mahoney State Park’s CenturyLink Lake from 1 – 4 p.m. Six inches of ice is required to conduct this free clinic. Toast Nebraska Wine Festival Set for May 1-2 at Mahoney State Park

LINCOLN – Seasonal jobs are available at two of Nebraska’s most popular tourist attractions – Eugene T. Mahoney and Platte River state parks. Located in the Platte River Valley between Omaha and Lincoln, the parks offer positions in a fun, friendly, outdoor environment. Run Wild for Wildlife Conservation May 16

LINCOLN – Registration is now open for Run Wild, an annual trail run to be held May 16 at Eugene T. Mahoney State Park. LINCOLN – The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission will seek a new food service provider at Eugene T. Mahoney State Park. The previous provider, Mahoney Grille, operated by Jeff and Emily Parker of Parker’s Smokehouse LLC, chose to not extend its contract option, ending services to the park effective Jan. 4, 2015.
