LINCOLN, Neb. – Kyle Charron knew he had a chance to be the first hunter to complete the Duck Slam this season. The 35-year-old Broken Bow man hunts the playa wetlands every October, typically harvesting multiple duck species each year. LINCOLN, Neb. – The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, along with AKRS Equipment Solutions, Ducks Unlimited, Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever, the National Wild Turkey Federation and Heartland DSC, is launching its third Take ’em Hunting challenge to hunters starting Sept. 1. LINCOLN, Neb. – Hunters again are challenged to go afield with family and friends this fall to complete the Nebraska Upland Slam by harvesting all four of Nebraska’s primary upland game bird species.
