Nebraska Game and Parks to offer women’s hunter education courses

LINCOLN, Neb. – The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission will offer several hunter education courses across the state specifically for women this fall. This classes, which are presented as part of the Becoming an Outdoors-Woman program, give women the chance to learn the basics of hunter safety and gain hands-on firearm and archery experience in a fun, safe environment among like-minded women. Women’s archery events scheduled in May

LINCOLN, Neb. – Take your archery skills to a new level with the Becoming an Outdoors-Woman Program’s archery classes in May at Platte River State Park. Classes are May 1, 8 and 15 at 6 p.m. Each class will have a different topic. The cost is $10 a class. Sample wine, cheese, venison at BOW/NWTF event

LINCOLN, Neb. – Women are invited to spend an afternoon sampling wine, cheese and venison at the Vineyards and Venison event March 3 at Ashland. This event for ages 21 and above is at Cellar 426 Wines and Vines, 1402 Dennis Dean Road, from 2 to 4 p.m. The cost is $25. Women’s mentored squirrel hunt set for Dec. 7-8

LINCOLN, Neb. – Women age 16 and up are invited to participate in mentored squirrel hunt and workshop Dec. 7-8 at the Nebraska Game and Parks Outdoor Education Center in Lincoln. The event sponsored by the Becoming an Outdoors-Woman Program includes a workshop and rifle sight-in on the first day and a hunt on a nearby wildlife management area the next day. The fee is $30. Registration deadline extended for women’s kayaking workshop

LINCOLN, Neb. – Openings are still available in the Becoming an Outdoors-Woman Program’s beginning kayak workshop July 21 at Lake Wanahoo State Recreation Area. The workshop is for women age 16 or older who want to learn the basics of kayaking. Kayak, paddle and life jacket will be provided. Great Weekend!

Got home Sunday afternoon from our annual Becoming an Outdoors-Woman weekend.  What a great weekend it was!!!!!  The weather was the best ever this year, but it was so much more than that. . . .
