Wild Game Cooking Seminar

Hunter Angler Gardener Cook blogger Hank Shaw will visit Nebraska on this latest book tour.

Award-winning Hunter Angler Gardener Cook blogger Hank Shaw will visit the Nebraska Game and Parks Outdoor Education Center in Lincoln to talk about wild game on Oct. 4, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The seminar will show hunters how to get more out of their wild game and fish through new cooking tips and techniques, with a focus on upland birds.

Shaw will also offer signed copies of his latest cookbook Pheasant, Quail, Cottontail at a discount, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever to support habitat restoration.

Shaw’s previous cookbooks Duck, Duck, Goose and Buck, Buck, Moose each won Excellence in Craft awards from the Outdoor Writers Association of America in 2013 and 2017, respectively.
The James Beard Foundation –considered the “Oscars of the food world” – awarded Hunter Angler Gardener Cook Best Food Blog in 2013. Shaw was also honored with the Bert Greene Award from the International Association of Culinary Professionals for Best Food Blog in 2010 and 2011.
