LINCOLN, Neb. – The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission amended its wildlife regulations to create the Free-earned Landowner Elk Permit Program at its Oct. 22 meeting in North Platte. In the program, a person who owns or leases at least 80 acres of farm- or ranchland for agricultural purposes qualifies for an either-sex elk permit following the verification of 10 general antlerless elk harvests; immediate family members are eligible for the permit. Free lifetime park permits available for disabled veterans

LINCOLN, Neb. – Resident Nebraska disabled veterans now may apply for a lifetime vehicle park entry permit at no charge. Thanks to the passage of LB 770 by the Legislature, introduced by Sen. LINCOLN, Neb. – With the holidays now behind them, Nebraskans can buy themselves a gift good for 12 months of outdoor fun. The 2013 park entry permits, which are required for every vehicle entering a state park, recreation area and historical park, are available from the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission.
