The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission will accept applications for one 2023 bighorn sheep lottery permit beginning April 17. A $29 nonrefundable application fee must accompany each application. First Mountain Lion Lottery Permit Drawn

LINCOLN, Neb. – A 15-year-old Franklin resident drew the state’s first mountain lion lottery permit on Wednesday, Oct. 9. Holden Bruce will be allowed to hunt mountain lions during Season 1, Jan. 1-Feb. 14, 2014, in the Pine Ridge Unit.
