Boating access improvements coming to Lake McConaughy

LINCOLN, Neb. – The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission will begin a nearly $3.5 million boating access improvement project Aug. 16 at Lake McConaughy State Recreation Area. To accommodate construction, the Martin Bay Bayside Boat Ramp and Beach Area No. 3 temporarily will be closed to the public until early 2022. Camping reservations required for Lake McConaughy and Lake Ogallala

LINCOLN, Neb. – Starting this summer, all campers will need a reservation to stay overnight at campgrounds and beach areas at Lake McConaughy and Lake Ogallala state recreation areas during the peak season. Commissioners to consider waterfowl recommendations, two-tier duck bag limit

LINCOLN, Neb. – The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission will consider 2021-2022 waterfowl hunting season recommendations at its March 17 meeting in Norfolk. The meeting begins at 8 a.m. in the Lifelong Learning Center, 701 E. Benjamin Ave. Among the recommendations is a proposal for a “two-tier” duck bag limit option a hunter will choose from for the season. New prohibition on alcohol possession focuses on making Lake McConaughy safer, more family-friendly

LINCOLN, Neb. — The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, working in collaboration with Ogallala and Keith County area partners, will implement actions designed to make the Lake McConaughy and Lake Ogallala state recreation areas safer and more family-friendly destinations by enhancing recreational facilities and prohibiting the possession of alcohol.
