Family Fishing Event July 20 at Bowling Lake Canceled

LINCOLN – The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission’s Family Fishing event scheduled for July 20 at Lincoln’s Bowling Lake has been canceled because of expected excessive heat. The final Family Fishing event in Lincoln this summer will be Aug. 4 at Holmes Lake. Upcoming events in the Omaha area will be July 19 at Zorinsky Lake, July 28 at Benson Park, and Aug. 2 at Prairie Queen Lake. Two Nebraska Lakes Among Top 100 for Fishing and Boating

LINCOLN – Voters have selected two Nebraska lakes to a list of 100 family-friendly boating and fishing lakes in the nation. I guess this past weekend was some masterful golf tournament or something like that.  I don’t know much about golfing; always figured it was for folks who did not fish.  Looks to me like well-known professional golfers playing in big tournaments would still rather be fishing.
