LINCOLN – The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission’s Family Fishing event scheduled for July 20 at Lincoln’s Bowling Lake has been canceled because of expected excessive heat. The final Family Fishing event in Lincoln this summer will be Aug. 4 at Holmes Lake. Upcoming events in the Omaha area will be July 19 at Zorinsky Lake, July 28 at Benson Park, and Aug. 2 at Prairie Queen Lake.
