10,000 rainbow trout stocked in Lake Ogallala

LINCOLN, Neb. – Lake Ogallala’s trout fishery has been enhanced with the stocking of 10,000 rainbow trout by the Rock Creek State Fish Hatchery from April 4-15. In addition, the Grove Trout Rearing Station completed a second spring stocking April 16 at Columbus’ Pawnee Park West Lake, Norfolk’s TaHaZouka Park Lake, and West Point’s Neligh Park Pond. Citizen science workshop for educators is Feb. 20 in Columbus

LINCOLN, Neb. – Educators of younger students are invited to participate in a citizen science workshop Feb. 20 in Columbus. The 6 p.m. workshop will be held at Educational Service Unit 7, 2657 44th Ave. Citizen science in the classroom provides opportunities for students to participate in real scientific investigations.
