LINCOLN, Neb. – The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission will consider recommendations for 2020 deer, antelope and elk hunting seasons when it meets May 8 in Lincoln. The meeting will start at 9 a.m. at Game and Parks headquarters, 2200 N. 33rd St. A public hearing is scheduled at 9:15 a.m. Central Time for proposed amendments to Commission orders pertaining to season dates, bag limits, permit quantities and areas open for deer, antelope and elk hunting. Multispecies lottery permit applications accepted beginning Jan. 2

LINCOLN, Neb. – Applications for multispecies Super Tag and Combo lottery permits will be accepted by the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission beginning Jan. 2. The Super Tag lottery permit will be valid for one elk of either sex, one antelope of either sex, one deer of either sex and two turkeys (only toms and bearded hens may be taken in the spring). LINCOLN, Neb. – Hunters may purchase 2019 big game permits at any Nebraska Game and Parks Commission office or online beginning at 1 p.m. Central Time on Aug. 5. Residents, nonresidents and eligible landowners may purchase remaining deer and antelope permits. Residents and eligible landowners may purchase remaining elk permits. The Super Tag permit is valid in 2019 and 2020 for one elk of either sex, one antelope of either sex, one deer of either sex, and two turkeys (only toms and bearded hens may be taken in the spring). New process in place for awarding big game draw permits

LINCOLN, Neb. – Hunters should be aware of a new process for awarding big game draw permits starting this year, according to the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission. Applicants for deer, antelope and elk draw permits who supply valid email addresses will be notified when the draw is complete. Applicants not providing valid email addresses will be responsible for monitoring their status online at OutdoorNebraska.org. Awarded but unpaid permits will result in applicants losing preference points and forfeiting the permit. …

LINCOLN, Neb. – Hunters and landowners are encouraged to offer their feedback on big game issues during the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission’s public informational meetings this winter. Meetings are scheduled in each Game and Parks district.
