Park Events Reinstated at Fort Atkinson, Alexandria; Sandy Channel and Long Pine will Remain Open

LINCOLN, Neb. – Communities in Nebraska continue to rally around their state park areas to reinstate events and delay temporary closures. The Candlelight Tour on Nov. 2 is back on the calendar at Fort Atkinson State Historical Park (SHP) near Fort Calhoun. Alexandria State Recreation Area (SRA) near Fairbury will remain open through Oct. 20 to accommodate a Halloween event Oct. 18-19.
