So, what are you and your family doing this Saturday afternoon? Nothing? Have plans, scrap ’em. Because, Platte River State Park’s 2nd Annual Yule Log Quest/Fun Winter Activities Day will be happening! The park landscape is beautiful this time of year, perfect for a scavenger hunt of sorts called a Yule log quest!
If you’re wondering about the Yule log quest, it is not your traditional run/walk race. Your pre-registered team of 3 to 5 members will be tested mentally and physically by different family fun challenges that will ultimately lead you to clues, for the finding of the six-foot long, decorated Yule log.
The competition is expected to last about 90 minutes. At the conclusion of the Yule log quest will be the traditional sawing of the log by the winning team. The cut pieces will then be placed in a fire.
To pre-register a team for the Yule log quest, or get more details on the activities available, see the flyer below or call the Platte River State Park office, at: 402-234-2217.
Hope to see you out there!
