Sherman Road Work

It is fall and I have been touting it as a good time of year to go fishing.  Some of the best open-water fishing of the year will be happening in the next few weeks.

That also means that the summer crowds are gone.  Now it is time to get caught up on some maintenance work.  I just heard about some more road work that you will want to know about if you are still fishing this fall:

Expect closures along Sherman Dam Road

Guests to Sherman Reservoir State Recreation Area near Loup City should expect intermittent road closures on Sherman Dam Road during the week of Sept. 18.

Farwell Irrigation District will limit traffic at times as they perform maintenance on the Sherman Dam.

Access to Trade Winds Marina and the Marina Bay Area of the state recreation area will still be possible via County Roads 480 and 792.

Sherman Reservoir State Recreation Area, located in central Nebraska, is known for its fishing and camping opportunities. Learn more at OutdoorNebraska.gov.
