Happy Independence Day, 2022!

Planning on an extended weekend for this 4th of July.  So, I am dropping this blog today, and then will take a break for a few days.  Never fear, I will be back, sometime next week.

Again a number of topics come around at the same time every year.  It is hard for me to think of anything new to say for Independence Day.  As with many of you, this is a big family holiday for us.  We will spend a lot of time together celebrating our independence as closely as possible to what ole John Adams expected. . . .

Yep, there will be parades,

Guns,

and lots of Bonfires and Illuminations (we love fireworks!).

There will also be lots of family time and feasting.  Might even be a story or three get told.

But, there will be some quiet times too, and some time for sneaking away and soaking a line.  Yes, it is July, and yes, the weather is hot.  The bite gets a little tougher, but looking back at photos from over the years, you know, we have caught a bunch of nice fish during our Independence Day get-togethers. . . .

Yes, we have had a lot of fun while doing it!

Hope you get to do the same this weekend.  Make sure to take the fishing gear with you.  Wet a line if you get the chance; you never know. . . .
