Gorgeous, Cool Morning Fishing The Elkhorn

I enjoyed a gorgeous, cool morning fishing in Nebraska’s Elkhorn River and backwater areas with a couple young family members of mine as well as a young family friend. Catfish Stocked at Lake Halleck for Family Fishing Night

Quick blog post to let you know that just yesterday at Lake Halleck in Papillion, 130  really nice 2 to 5 pound channel catfish (see pic below) were stocked from the Game and Parks Commission’s North Platte Fish Hatchery. Carp-O-Rama on Channel 6 Outdoor Segment

Went Fishin’

Today, the Sunday of Memorial Day Weekend 2013, members of the Wagner Family who were available to go fishing – went. We sure had a great time! We fished the waters of  the Elkhorn River as well as an Elkhorn River oxbow pond in western Sarpy County, NE that a buddy of mine owns. Thanks Mark! Spring Break Trout

With teenagers, you take advantage of any time that they may have available and want to venture outdoors. I did just that with the youngest member of our family yesterday. That would be our 15 year-old Creighton Prep High School Freshman Noah (Wagner). Back to School

I’m heading back to school. Well, sort of. These next three weeks I’ll be reading  books to students in Omaha Public, Millard Public and Omaha Catholic Schools. March is a big book reading month here in the metro area. As a matter of fact, I read to third graders at Bancroft Elementary School in southeast Omaha already this week.
