Outdoor Education Center indoor ranges closed March 25

LINCOLN, Neb. – The indoor ranges (firearm and archery) at the Nebraska Game and Parks Outdoor Education Center in Lincoln will be closed to the public on March 25, as staff will be at the state National Archery in the Schools tournament. Dual hunter education certification offered for women

LINCOLN, Neb. – Women and girls can attain certification in both firearm and bowhunter education in a single women’s-only class offered in Lincoln by the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission. Become a certified youth fishing instructor April 1

LINCOLN, Neb. – The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission will certify youth fishing instructors April 1 at the Nebraska Game and Parks Outdoor Education Center in Lincoln. This free training will take place at the education center, located at 4703 N. 44th St., from 9 a.m. to noon. Fishing instructors will receive training and tools to conduct youth fishing clinics. Women’s Instructional Shooting Clinic Set for Sept. 10

LINCOLN – A women’s clinic teaching the safe use and ownership of guns is scheduled for Sept. 10 at the Nebraska Game and Parks Outdoor Education Center in Lincoln. At the NRA Women on Target Instructional Shooting Clinic, women will find a safe space to increase their shooting skills. Plattsmouth Archer Wins Inaugural Director’s Cup

LINCOLN – Jake Cockle of Plattsmouth won the inaugural Director’s Cup Archery Tournament on June 5 at the Nebraska Game and Parks Outdoor Education Center. The 33 youth and competitive archers in five divisions shot arrows from varying distances. The winners of each division then competed in a Robin Hood shoot-off in which each archer shot one arrow at a small target to determine the Cup winner.
