LINCOLN – Compete for prizes or just for fun at the Ice Bowl Disc Golf Tournament at Eugene T. Mahoney State Park on Jan. 10. Disc golf is played much like traditional golf. LINCOLN – The Midwest Regional Cass County Championship of the World Disc Golf Tournament will be held April 12 at Eugene T. Mahoney State Park near Ashland. Check-in is at 8:30 a.m., a players’ meeting at 9:30 a.m., and the first of two rounds of competition begin at 10 a.m. There will be awards following the event, as well as a cash prize in the professional division. Mahoney State Park to Host Winterfest Olympics, Disc Golf Tournament

LINCOLN – The Winterfest Olympics are coming to Eugene T. Mahoney State Park (SP). On Saturday Jan. 4 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., park staff will guide youth through outdoor activities including archery, slingshot shooting, fishing, sled-racing and more. The seven activities, which are geared toward children between 5 and 10 years old, are free and open to the public. Participants will receive medals upon completion of all seven activities.
