LINCOLN, Neb. – The Community Fishing Night and Discover Catfish Fishing events scheduled for June 18 at Lincoln’s Holmes Lake have been cancelled because of the threat of thunderstorms. The fishing events, which were planned for 6-8 p.m. and 8-10 p.m., respectively, will not be rescheduled this summer. The next Community Fishing Night event at Holmes Lake will be Aug. 1. LINCOLN, Neb. – Willow Creek State Recreation Area is the latest state park area to regain full operations following spring flooding. Willow Creek, located in Pierce County in northeastern Nebraska, has 101 electric camping pad sites. All electrical service has been restored to the campground.
