Perhaps you have already read about and seen photos of livestock tank floating on Nebraska rivers in the June Issue of NEBRASKAland Magazine. If not, you can read Eric Fowler’s cool article about it here. However, if you want to view video of what we refer to as “tankin’,” then you’ll wanna tune in to my Weekly Outdoor Report airing on Omaha’s WOWT 6 News LIVE this Thursday evening at 6 p.m. CST during the station’s sportscast. Yup, we’re goin’ tankin’! We’ll cover why floating scenic Nebraska rivers in livestock watering tanks is so popular. It is something unique and fun to do outdoors with your family or friends this summer. Even I have enjoyed tankin’ with friends!
Tanking offers a perfect opportunity to kick back, relax and enjoy our beautiful scenery along rivers here in Nebraska!
If you miss the initial broadcast of the outdoor report, video replays of it are always available here. The report can also be accessed on Digital Channel 6.2 and Cox Cable Channel 120. An additional reminder that station runs The Weekly Outdoor Report on Saturdays later in its hour-long 8 a.m. CST newscast. The WOWT 6 Sports Machine Crew and I thank you for watching!
