Couple weeks ago I highlighted some of the quality fish our Nebraska Game and Parks Commission fisheries biologists have seen this spring (read What’s Out There). Got to thinking that I have not reported on any of the fish I have seen in the past few months.
Have had the opportunity to get around the state a bit this spring. Whenever and wherever I go the fishing gear is always with me. Love the opportunities to spend some time on a variety of waters fishing for the variety of species Nebraska has to offer.

Have been trying to dry off a few wipers, but I am having a hard time keeping them hooked (ARRRGGGHHHHhhhhhhh!!!!!!). Old photo used for illustration purposes:
Like I noted for the fish that were collected by our field biologists, all of the ones you see here were released. They are still out there. The bite will probably get a little tougher in the coming weeks, it does every summer, but now, and even then, I would GO FISH!
