We have a full slate of Community Fishing Events again this summer. In fact we are well into that schedule already. Want to note that again, especially that select events will be “Chat with a Fisheries Biologist” nights.
These nights will give attendees a chance to visit directly with a Nebraska Game and Parks fisheries biologist about local lakes and ponds, fish species, stocking efforts, habitat work, and how fisheries are managed across the state. Whether you have questions about where to fish, what species are in a waterbody, or how management decisions are made, this is a great opportunity to learn more and have your questions answered by a fisheries professional.
Chat with a biologist nights are scheduled for:
- June 17, Skyview Lake in Norfolk
- June 23, Holmes Lake in Lincoln
- July 9, Skyview Lake in Norfolk
- July 15, Prairie Queen Lake in Papillion
- July 25, Carp-O-Rama at Lake Maloney east boat ramp, North Platte (8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.)
- August 8, North Platte I-80 Lake, North Platte main interstate interchange
- August 9, Laing Lake, Alliance
