Ice fishing for this season has come to an end. This past season I was able to fish a variety of waters catch a variety of fish.

Going to head for western and northern parts of Nebraska this weekend. Planning to find some safe ice to get on and see what I can catch!

Tungsten ice fishing jigs are the most popular on the market right now. However, those old lead jigs are still best in some situations.

Finesse presentations are typical when ice fishing. However, especially for bigger fish, it often pays to fish larger, more aggressive baits.

Ice safety is priority. That includes safety from falling through the ice, but it also need to include safety from falling on the ice!

We finally have enough ice for ice fishing now. Have pulled several fish though ice holes so far. One was designated “New Year’s Fish, 2025.”
