When we start getting some cold nights and I start seeing waterbodies with a skim of ice I get antsy. As far as I am concerned, we should have six months of ice fishing every year.
Stumbled onto this old Cabela’s commercial and I definitely relate!
Can neither confirm nor deny that might be me in that commercial. I will tell you for sure that my neighbors have heard me start up the auger when there is no ice nor snow to be seen! Oh yes, I have gone electric with my hole drilling, but I still have the ole Jiffy and I love that sound! Gotta start ‘er up now and then to make sure it still runs!
(Would NEVER think of doing that to my blades, however!).
