Boat Ramps

By Daryl Bauer, Fisheries Outreach Program Manager

It is the last week of July, mid-summer, hot. Water levels on Nebraska lakes and reservoirs vary widely across the state. We have waterbodies where water levels are relatively high for this time of year, and unfortunately, we have reservoirs where water levels are low and dropping.

Whether you can launch a boat or not is a valid question. The answer will vary from “no problem” to “no way”.

Going to post a tool that you might not have seen. This is an excellent resource for checking on ramp conditions before you head out. This is not the most detailed or comprehensive resource, but it is very useful.

Public Access Boating

In addition to boat ramp conditions, there is a variety of other information there. Check it out!
