Recently I have been traveling around the state and catching some fish. Had lots of time to think while on the road and something dawned on me. . . .
We have stocked tiger trout, brown X brook trout hybrids in Nebraska waters. Recently, we have also stocked cuttbows, cutthroat X rainbow trout hybrids. That means we have to take only one more step to produce the elusive tiger cuttbow!!!!!
I have a good idea of what that fish would look like as you can see from the image featured at the beginning of this post. Beautiful!
Betting they would be easy to raise, grow fast, feed aggressively, and fight like a wildcat. In short, we are almost there–production of the angler’s dream trout!
May not be there yet, but hopefully you are able to get out and catch a dream fish or three this weekend anyway. GO FISH!
Next we will have to work on the Cowalski.
