I goofed. Wanted to post this information before the weekend, but did not. Regardless, if you fish any of our southwest reservoirs or are using any other wildlife management areas in that part of the state, you will want to know this:
Southwestern WMA roads damaged from heavy summer rains
Roads or portions of roads leading to several wildlife management areas in southwestern Nebraska are closed following heavy rains throughout the summer.
The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission has begun to assess damage at Frenchman, Enders, Swanson, Red Willow, and Medicine Creek WMAs. Damages present risks to human safety as well as the potential for vehicle damage. Assessments regarding vehicle access are ongoing.
