Salamander Saturday is June 3 at Mahoney SP

LINCOLN, Neb. – Celebrate amphibians at Salamander Saturday on June 3 at Eugene T. Mahoney State Park. From 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at Riverview Lodge, visitors will be able to see salamanders and create their own salamander armbands. From 1-1:45 p.m., University of Nebraska-Lincoln herpetologist Dennis Ferraro will give a presentation on the disappearance of the western tiger salamander from eastern Nebraska. A park entry permit is required.
