Conservation Officers to Conduct Special Patrols

LINCOLN – From June through August, Nebraska Game and Parks Commission conservation officers, in conjunction with the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office and the Nebraska State Patrol, will conduct special enforcement patrols focusing on state recreation areas (SRA) and other Commission-managed property in Lancaster County. LINCOLN – There is still time to take children fishing for stocked bullheads this summer. In fact, many anglers started their fishing careers catching bullheads at a young age. Black bullheads raised at the Valentine State Fish Hatchery were stocked Sept. 1 at the following state recreation areas, with quantities: Louisville Lake No. 2A, 518; Fremont Lake No. 3, 1,100; Two Rivers Lake No. 7, 501; and Two Rivers Lake No. 6, 1,209. Wildlife and Recreation Areas in Southeast Impacted by High Water

LINCOLN – Wildlife management areas and state recreation areas in Lancaster, Saline, Fillmore, Thayer, Gage and Jefferson counties of southeast Nebraska are being impacted by high water levels because of recent heavy rainfall. Area users should be cautioned that access to area roads, campgrounds, toilets and other facilities may be limited. LINCOLN – Visitors to seven state recreation areas will be allowed to touch off fireworks on Independence Day, according to the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission.
