Game and Parks to temporarily close playgrounds, structures

LINCOLN, Neb. – In a continued, proactive effort to prevent the potential for spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission temporarily will close state park and recreation area playgrounds and play structures beginning March 30. The closures are in keeping with national recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which encourages maintaining physical distance’ and limiting in-person social interactions. Playgrounds at Eugene T. Mahoney SP to close temporarily for renovation

LINCOLN, Neb. – The two outdoor playgrounds at Eugene T. Mahoney State Park (SP) will be closed temporarily starting Aug. 27 for renovation and installation of new equipment. The playgrounds will reopen once installation and surfacing are complete. Park guests may use playgrounds at Schramm Park and Louisville state recreation areas. A park entry permit is required of each vehicle entering these parks, including Mahoney SP.
