LINCOLN, Neb. – Grab a friend, your mother, daughter, sister, or colleague and go outdoors for a life-changing fall adventure. The annual Becoming an Outdoors-Woman workshop, sponsored by the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, gives women the opportunity to learn outdoor skills in a comfortable environment. BOW Workshop Empowers Women

Nestled in beautiful fall colors and cool temperatures of the Nebraska National Forest, the Becoming an Outdoors Woman (BOW) workshop was held last weekend at the 4-H camp near Halsey. The BOW workshop is a place where women of all backgrounds and ages gather to learn more about the outdoors in a non-intimidating, friendly environment. Space Still Remains for Halsey BOW

LINCOLN – Space still remains in this year’s Becoming an Outdoors-Woman (BOW) program – the annual Sandhills retreat that teaches women of all ages various outdoor skills. The workshop is Oct. 3-5 at the national forest near Halsey. BOW is a program designed to encourage women to become active participants in the outdoors, including activities related to hunting, camping, boating, hiking and fishing.
