Southwest District Birding Day Set for May 15

LINCOLN – The public is invited to join the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission for the Southwest District Birding Day on May 15 at Medicine Creek Reservoir and Wildlife Management Area in Frontier County. This free morning of birding will begin at 7 a.m. at the WMA headquarters on the east side of the reservoir. Join Game and Parks for Birding at Lake McConaughy

LINCOLN, Neb. – Birders of all experience levels are invited to participate in Southwest District Birding Day with the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission on Sept. 12 at Lake McConaughy. Participants will meet at the lake’s visitor center parking lot at 6 a.m. The group will observe birds around McConaughy and Lake Ogallala until 10 a.m. Persons interested in participating should contact Game and Parks’ T.J. Walker at thomas.walker@nebraska.gov. They should wear appropriate clothing and may bring binoculars.
