LINCOLN – It is natural for some people who see a young wild animal apparently abandoned by its mother to want to rescue it. The correct course of action is to leave it alone. Ranch Couple Honored as Fort Robinson Dedicates New Building

The newly reconstructed 1891 Officers Quarters at Fort Robinson State Park was described as “a welcome addition to a world-class place” as it was dedicated in honor of a highly-regarded Sandhills ranch couple during a ceremony Saturday morning. The event at the new building paid tribute to the late Don and Olive Forney of Rushville, whose friends and family contributed a majority of the funding for the $1.7 million building. Rodgers Wins 2015 Cornhusker Cup

DONIPHAN, Neb. – Dean Rodgers of Papillion-LaVista won the Cornhusker Cup at the 46th Cornhusker Trapshoot on Saturday. Combined with his perfect 75 shot on Friday at 16 yards, Rodgers earned the overall Cup with a two-day 148-for-150 after shooting a 73 at 25 yards in the handicap Saturday. Krzyzanowski Wins 16-Yard Title at Cornhusker Trapshoot

DONIPHAN, Neb. – Zack Krzyzanowski of North Platte repeated as the 16-yard champion in the senior high division at the 46th Annual Cornhusker Trapshoot. He broke all 75 clay targets, and then later broke all 100 in a shoot-off. While Krzyzanowski, a junior in high school, was perfect, several others were close behind. Baehr Wins Junior High Division at Cornhusker Trapshoot

DONIPHAN, Neb. – Hayden Baehr of the Wilber 5 Clovers 4-H team was perfect Thursday. He broke all 100 targets at 16 yards to win the junior high division at the 46th Cornhusker Trapshoot at the home grounds of the Nebraska Trapshooting Association. LINCOLN – The public will have the opportunity to volunteer at two state recreation areas during Take Pride in America Day on May 2. 46th Cornhusker Trapshoot Is April 30-May 2

LINCOLN – More than 2,500 shooters are expected to compete in the 46th annual Cornhusker Trapshoot, which will be held April 30-May 2 on the home grounds of the Nebraska Trapshooting Association (NTA) in Doniphan. It would be the fourth year in a row that more than 2,000 shooters would compete. Competition will take place in individual and team divisions.
