Spellman No Stranger to Cornhusker Trapshoot

DONIPHAN, Neb. – Maddy Spellman is no stranger to the Cornhusker Trapshoot. She has competed in the annual event for a few years now. Thursday was a first for her. Searching for the Mighty Morel

It’s official, Lincoln County is in the books for morel mushrooms this year. This week co-workers of mine found the mighty morel mushrooms at one of our wildlife management areas in southwest Nebraska and today I found more along the river near North Platte. Commission Sets 2015 Early Teal Dates at July 16 Meeting in Sidney

LINCOLN – The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission set the 2015 early teal season dates at its July 16 meeting in Sidney. The teal hunting season will be Sept. 5-20 in the Low Plains and Sept. 12-20 in the High Plains. Teal hunting season dates are set to coincide with the teal migration through Nebraska, and the opening day is typically the Saturday following Labor Day. Krzyzanowski Wins 16-Yard Title at Cornhusker Trapshoot

DONIPHAN, Neb. – Zack Krzyzanowski of North Platte repeated as the 16-yard champion in the senior high division at the 46th Annual Cornhusker Trapshoot. He broke all 75 clay targets, and then later broke all 100 in a shoot-off. While Krzyzanowski, a junior in high school, was perfect, several others were close behind.
