Jan. 4 – Growing Up WILD workshop, Lincoln

Jan. 8 – Duck and coot hunting seasons close in Zone 3, Low Plains and High Plains Units

Jan. 9 – Big game public informational meeting, Memorial Community Center, Curtis

Jan. 9 – First day of spring turkey hunting permit sales

Jan. 9-29 – Duck and coot hunting seasons in Zones 2 and 3, High Plains Unit

Jan. 10 – Big game public informational meeting, Community Center, Loup City

Jan. 11 – Big game public informational meeting, City Auditorium, Crofton

Jan. 12 – Big game public informational meeting, Community Building, O’Neill

Jan. 14 – Discover Ice Fishing Clinic, Lake Wanahoo SRA, Wahoo

Jan. 14 – Cold Day, Warm Hearts, Eugene T. Mahoney SP, Ashland

Jan. 15 – Youth, Landowner, Season Choice and River Antlerless, and Gifford Point WMA deer hunting seasons close

Jan. 18 – Big game public informational meeting, Eagles Club, Elkhorn

Jan. 19 – Special Public Health Hazard Order crow hunting closes

Jan. 20 – Crow hunting season opens statewide

Jan. 21 – Discover Ice Fishing Clinic, Yanney Heritage Park, Kearney

Jan. 21 – Sausage Making Class, Fort Atkinson SHP, Fort Calhoun

Jan. 21 – Ice Bowl Disc Golf Tournament, Eugene T. Mahoney SP, Ashland

Jan. 25 – Growing Up WILD workshop, Chadron

Jan. 25-Feb. 12 – Statewide light goose hunting season

Jan. 26 – Growing Up WILD workshop, Omaha

Jan. 26 – Project WILD and Aquatic WILD educator workshop, Chadron

Jan. 28 – Fresh Venison Cooking, Fort Atkinson SHP, Fort Calhoun

Jan. 31 – Hunting seasons close for November late doe/fawn antelope, fall turkey, pheasant, quail, partridge, grouse and squirrel
