2016 Great Park Pursuit winners announced

LINCOLN – Dozens of teams won prizes in the 2016 Great Park Pursuit, hosted by the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission and the Nebraska Recreation and Park Association.

The following teams won the challenge’s top prizes:

— $1,500 outdoor recreation package grand prize: Road Trip Adventures, Papillion

— $750 outdoor recreation package: Conklin Bushwhackers, Juniata

— $500 outdoor recreation package: Recycled Fish Stewards, Ralston

— Two-night cabin stay and 2017 NEBRASKAland calendar: Foot Stompers, Seward

— Two-night cabin stay: Van Clan, Omaha

Other prizes included an iPad, NEBRASKAland magazine subscriptions and gift cards.

The Great Park Pursuit promotes active lifestyles by encouraging participants to visit up to 20 GPP sites located across Nebraska between May and September. Players follow clues leading them to a GPP post, where they use a pencil to make an impression of the post to prove they were there. The more impressions mailed in, the better the chances of winning a prize in the drawing.

A full list of winners can be found at negpp.org.
