Eastbound Exit 312 to Mormon Island SRA Temporarily Closed

LINCOLN – Mormon Island State Recreation Area (SRA) south of Grand Island cannot be accessed via Exit 312 on eastbound Interstate 80 due to construction. The westbound exit is open, however.

According to the Nebraska Department of Roads, the eastbound exit ramp will be closed for road construction for three weeks.

To access Mormon Island SRA from the west, use eastbound Exit 314 (Locust Street) and then re-enter the interstate westbound to use Exit 312 (U.S. 281). In coming weeks, motorists will find U.S. 281’s passing lanes under construction.

For more information, contact the park at 308-385-6211 or ngpc.mormon.island@nebraska.gov.
