Following the Super Bowl, which I thought lacked in creative commercials, I was lamenting to my family that I had not seen any good fishing commercials this year either. I have thought that many of the Rapala commercials over the years have been particularly creative and entertaining.
Then I got an e-mail with this video. I think they are taking a different path this year. . . .
That is pretty gutsy, calling the shot. We will see how that works out for them.
It has already hooked me. You know I LOVE suspending jerkbaits (e.g. In Suspense ). If Rapala is coming out with another bait like that, I cannot wait to buy a half dozen. I hope they make it in sizes large enough for my likes (i.e. “Big Baits = Big Fish”).
I will add a few more boxes to my collection.
Speaking of the Super Bowl: The BassMaster Classic has been called the “Super Bowl” of bass fishing. Actually, I read an article once where founder Ray Scott said the Super Bowl should be called the BassMaster Classic of football. I like that. Anyway, now that the Super Bowl and other preliminaries are out of the way, the 2015 BassMaster Classic is just around the corner. I do not know who I will cheer for this year because KVD will not be fishing the classic for the first time in his career. We will see if any of the Shadow Rap “shot-calling” comes true???
Oh, if any of those bass jocks want to talk about “cold weather” bass fishing, I might know a thing or two.
Ha.
